We publish our method, so this page does the same for our own data collection: what is measured, by whom, and on what legal basis.

Who runs this site
Apex CX Research is published by Hear AI Ltd, which also builds contact-centre software sold to some of the companies covered here. Hear AI Ltd is the data controller for this website. Editorial decisions are made by Apex CX Research Team; commercial interest does not buy coverage. Questions: privacy@apexcxresearch.com.
Cookies are off until you say yes
This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies until you accept them. Decline, ignore the banner, or send a Global Privacy Control signal and none of the scripts below ever load. There are no strictly-necessary cookies to opt out of either — the site is static and does not log you in.
You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing is the same single click as giving consent.
What loads if you accept
Two scripts, both from third parties, both of which set cookies:
- LinkedIn Insight Tag. Measures which articles LinkedIn members read, and lets Hear AI Ltd show ads on LinkedIn to people who have read this site. LinkedIn receives your IP address, browser and device details, the page you are on, a timestamp, and its own cookie.
- Google tag. Aggregate readership measurement, and advertising audiences for Hear AI Ltd on Google properties. Google receives the same categories: IP address, browser and device details, page, timestamp, and its own cookies.
Both are advertising as well as analytics. Accepting means Hear AI Ltd can later show you ads elsewhere because you read this publication. That is the honest description, and it is why the banner does not pre-tick anything.
Neither we nor these providers receive your name or email from your reading — only the technical identifiers above. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use this data to decide what to publish about any individual company.
If you subscribe to the newsletter
We use your email address to send the newsletter, and for nothing else. We do not sell or rent the list. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe, which takes effect immediately.
Legal basis and your rights
Where UK or EU law applies, our basis for the analytics and advertising cookies is your consent (UK PECR / ePrivacy Directive and UK GDPR / GDPR Article 6(1)(a)); for the newsletter it is consent you give at signup. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@apexcxresearch.com. You also have the right to complain to your data-protection authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.
Retention and transfers
We hold no reader database of our own. Retention of the cookie data is governed by the providers above (LinkedIn, Google), who process it in the United States and elsewhere under their own standard contractual clauses. Newsletter addresses are held until you unsubscribe.
Changes
Material changes to this page are dated above. If we add a third party to the table, your existing consent does not carry over to it — the banner asks again.
